The footballer may have been the man of the hour but it was his little lad who ended up stealing the show. Proud dad Cristiano Ronaldo allowed his son to take centre stage at his documentary film premiere on Monday. The footballer was accompanied by his son - called Cristiano Ronaldo Jr - when he rocked up to the glitzy event held at Leicester Square in London.
And even though the footballer was the man of the hour, he was more than happy to let his five-year-old son shine on the red carpet instead. Cristiano, who has been romantically linked with Maja Darving , looked exceptionally dapper in a navy suit teamed with a black bow tie.
Meanwhile his son was the spitting image of his old man as he lapped up the attention from photographers. The youngster had followed his dad's lead with a suave suit, with the only difference being it was a lighter shade and featured pin stripes. The similarities didn't end there either - far from it in fact.
Both sported a wet-look hairstyle while also flashing their cheeky grins to onlookers. Cristiano's mum Maria Dolores Aveiro was also by her son and grandson's side as they celebrated the release of the highly-anticipated documentary that follows the footballer's day-to-day life.
Other attendees knocking around the glitzy event included Melanie Sykes, Chloe Green and Sir Alex Ferguson .

In 2010, Cristiano shocked the world when he unexpectedly announced he was the father of a baby boy. Taking to Facebook , he explained he had 'exclusive guardianship, as agreed with the baby’s mother, who preferred to keep her identity confidential'.
One of the teasers for the documentary features the Real Madrid player talking candidly about the circumstances of his son's birth .
In the clip, the 30-year-old explains: "People speculate I was with this girl or another, or there was a surrogate mother. I have never told anyone and never will.

"When Cristiano is grown up I will tell him what I did, what I felt, everything that went through my mind.
"Some children never get to know their parents, neither mother nor father. Having a father is enough.”
