It was celebration galore yesterday at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Camp at Uhogua near Benin City as Mrs Iara Oshiomhole, wife of Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, celebrated with the IDPs as part of activities to mark her husband’s 7th Anniversary as governor.
Mrs. Oshiomhole who got to the camp as early as 10am spent several hours with the internally displaced persons, as she joined them in the various exciting games and other interesting activities she organised for them.
Speaking to the displaced persons, she said: “It is my pleasure to be here with you. I am very happy to be back and to see you all again.
“The last time I was here, I promised to come back and get to know the children better. Today is that day and that is exactly what we are doing. Our goal for today is just to have fun, talk with the children, play with the children and enjoy ourselves. OPEN TO CHECK PHOTOS
She assured the displaced persons of government’s continuous support and commitment to their welfare.
