Speaking before Manchester City match against Saints on Saturday, former Chelsea product Ryan Bertrand showered praises on Kelvin De Bruyne who was also a former team mate with Betrand. De Bruyne opened the scoring as Southampton went on to loose the match by 3-1 on Saturday.
Southampton fullback Ryan Bertrand feels Kevin de Bruyne wasn't given a fair chance at Chelsea.
"If you have trained with Kevin, like me, then you know that he already was a special football player," Bertrand told The Sun.
"From the moment he arrived at Chelsea, he showed great things on the training pitch. He dazzled us sometimes. Kevin can create goals and score them. He now shows this at the highest level.
"It's easy to say that he has become much better, but to be honest, Kevin always has been outstanding.
"He never had the opportunity at Chelsea for one reason or another."
