Arsenal on the Loose as Chelsea Set to Sign Nigerian Wonderkid Kelechi Nwakali

Wide spreading report reveals that Chelsea are in contact with the most valuable player of the just concluded FIFA U17 world Cup hosted in Chile Kelechi Nwakali, as confirmed by the player’s agent Klay Ekeocha.

Nwakali, 17, was impressive through out the cadet championship and was keenly scouted by several top European clubs including Udinese, Arsenal and Chelsea but the Blues appears to be in pole position to sign the Nigerian youngster.
Confirming Chelsea’s interest, his agent Ekeocha said:

“We are in contact with Chelsea, Udinese and Olympiacos. Udinese made a ridiculous offer of €800,000 for the Most Valuable Player of the FIFA Under 17 World Cup. We are working hard for the player, his family and academy. Manchester City and West Ham are no longer involved because of the work permit issues. We got in touch with Arsenal and there’s no feed-back yet,”

Nwakali recently admitted that he will fancy playing for Arsenal over any other Premier League club because of their style of play but their refusal to respond to the offer may just mean they are not interested.

Should Chelsea complete the deal for Nwakali, he will join the likes of Abraham, Musonda and Jake at the academy. The youngster has shown massive prospect and he can be nurtured to becoming a star for Chelsea in years to come.
