Check Out The Hip-Hop Nominees For 2015 Grammy Awards

The 2015 Grammy nominations have been announced, and given the surprises in the hip-hop categories, rap fans will probably be a little peeved as usual.Surprisingly, Iggy Azalea only showed up in one rap category (Best Rap Album), but she was also nominated for Best New Artist and Record of the Year for “Fancy.” We’re happy to see Kendrick Lamar scoop up a nomination for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance with “i,” (after last year’s showdown) but he has stiff competition in that category against Drake’s “O to 100/The Catch Up,” Kanye West’s “Bound 2,” Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda,” and Wiz’s “We Dem Boyz.”

Beyonce Is The Most Grammy-Nominated Woman Ever, So BOW DOWN!

Best Rap Album is always a controversial category, and this year Iggy Azalea will be facing off against Eminem, Common, Schoolboy Q, Wiz Khalifa and Childish Gambino for that award, while YG’s My Krazy Life is notably absent.

Nicki Minaj, who had a pretty huge year, received two nods. In addition to Best Rap Song, she’s up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her feature on Jessie J’s “Bang Bang.” Makonnen wiggled his way in with a Best Rap/Sung Collaboration nomination for “Tuesday,” featuring Drake.
