Crystal Palace has sacked coach Warnock

The 66-year-old has been dismissed by the Eagles, having accrued just 15 points from 18 games in 2014-15 and Keith Millen will take charge for the club's trip to QPR on Sunday.

Crystal Palace have sacked manager Neil Warnock following a run of results that has seen the Eagles plunge into the bottom three.

The 66-year-old managed just three Premier League victories in the 18 he oversaw since rejoining the club for a second spell back in August, succeeding Tony Pulis.

And a six-game winless run culminating in the 3-1 Boxing Day defeat to Southampton has prompted the south Londoners to take action and make Warnock the first Premier League boss to be fired this season.

With Warnock dismissed on December 27, his sacking marks the third longest wait for a managerial change in the Premier League, and he leaves the club having accrued just 15 points this season, with Palace only five points ahead of rock-bottom Leicester City.

Keith Millen will be in charge for the Eagles' trip to Queen's Park Rangers on Sunday, having also spent four matches at the helm last season following Ian Holloway's resignation.

Palace finished 2013-14 in 11th place, 12 points clear of the relegation zone.
