Man burns down woman’s house for refusing his friend request on facebook

A man was arrested on charges of arson after allegedly burning down the house of a woman for refusing his friends request on Facebook, police in Kentucky said.

The Frankfort Police Department said that 22-year-old Joanie Yount was being harassed by 37-year-old James Graham, after she refused to accept his friends request on Facebook. Yount was not interested in a relationship with Graham, despite knowing him outside Facebook.

After being rejected by Yount, Graham went to the victim’s home, where he found an open door. He went inside and started a fire in the bedroom. Fortunately, Yount and her 3-year-old son were not home at the time.

The house suffered smoke and water damages. The single mother and her son were forced to find another place to stay. Yount has also applied for a second job to help pay for the items she lost in the fire. Graham was charged with theft and arson.
