Yuletide: FRSC Flags-off Operation Zero Tolerance, Deploys 35,000

Worried by the rate of road crashes during festive periods the Federal Road Safety Commission(FRSC) yesterday flagged-off a zero tolerance campaign on all forms of traffic rules violations during this year’s yuletide.
The FRSC has also deployed no fewer than 35,000 of its personnel to help control traffic as disclosed by the corps marshal and chief executive.

The national flag-off of 2014 end-of-year special patrol operation, code named Operation Zero Tolerance has the theme “Road safety is a collective responsibility: it depends on you” was performed by Kaduna State governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero.

The governor represented by the deputy governor Ambassador Audu Nuhu Bajoga commended the FRSC in its effort at saving lives and enjoined them to sustain the tempo.

He assured of government’s commitment to give necessary support to FRSC in all her activities targeted at saving lives of Nigerians.

Earlier in his address, the corps marshal and chief executive FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi stressed that the corps will not tolerate any form of reckless driving on the roads.
