Obasanjo Laments Abandonment Of Projects In Nigeria

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has lamented lack of continuity in developmental projects by successive governments in the country.
Obasanjo, in a statement by 3Gs on Sunday, said the only way to ensure enduring infrastructural and human capacity development in the country was for every government to build on the projects and the ideas of the preceding government.

He lamented that most of the failures recorded in the country occurred due to the refusal of successive governments to continue institutional and policy frameworks and projects put in place by their predecessors.

Obasanjo, who harped on the need for continuity when the Good Governance Group and its convener Mr. Seyi Gambo paid him a courtesy visit at his Hilltop House, Abeokuta, Ogun State noted that some of the projects initiated under his regime both as a military head of state and a civilian President were abandoned.
