FIRS Arrest Provost, Principal Officers Over N6.7m Tax Default

The Provost of the College of Education, Ikere Ekiti, Prof. Francesca Aladejana, and other principal officers of the institution were on Wednesday arrested by Federal Inland Revenue Service over N6.7 tax default .Apart from arresting principal officers, who include: the Registrar, Mr. Gbenga Ojo, and the Bursar, Mr. Kayode Ige, the Federal
Government revenue generating body also sealed the College .

The FIRS enforcement team led by Mr. Olugbenga Adepesoye, had besieged the institution at about 10:30 a.m. when the officers were seized in a joint operation with the Ekiti State Police Command, .
