Failure to Rescue Chibok Girls Sign of Failure from Our Leaders – BBOG Group

Former governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi has attributed the failure of the rescue of the remaining 219 Chibok girls abducted from Government secondary school to the failure on the part of our leadership.
The former governor, who was the leader of the progressive governors forum, said he could not have chosen a better place to celebrate his birthday than with the BBOG family, which has stood for the love of mankind.

While urging the group never to rest on its oars up until the girls are returned, Fayemi noted that the failure of leadership has been responsible for the current insecurity in this country and only a worthy leader, would ensure the safety of Nigerians.

”That our young daughters are not yet back, is because of the negligence not only on the part of the government but on the part of all of us. I am a father and I know what it is for the parents of the abducted girls.

“The Chibok girls are not yet back is also because o the failure of leadeship. Leadership at all level. If the head was alive to its responsibility, it would have been a different story. The security and wellbeing of the citizen is saddled with the government and if after 301 days, nothing happened. We owe it to do something about a leadership of the country that is disinterested about the fate of the girls abducted by the insurgency,” Fayemi noted.

He commended the group saying,”we are not doing enough. You have done a lot for us and we will not stop until something is being done. It is a matter not only to toughen on the issue of abduction but to be tougher on the root of the abduction”

Fayose who was celebrating his birthday, said he was at the sit-out to reflect on his life after 50 years on what had become of the country, including the insurgency and the girls who were abducted. (Leadership)
