Two Goals from Gonzalo Higuain Send Napoli to the top of Serie A

Argentina forward Higuain opened the scoring after just 64 seconds with a thumping effort before Inter had Yuto Nagatomo sent off for two yellow cards. Napoli, chasing their first Serie A title since 1990, extended their lead after another fine Higuain finish.

Adem Ljajic made it 2-1 before Stevan Jovetic headed against a post. In a dramatic finish, Inter were again denied an equaliser when Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina deflected a header from Miranda onto the post.
The win sent Napoli, who started the day second, one point clear of Inter at the top of the table after 14 games.

Earlier, Fiorentina missed out on a chance to go top after being held 1-1 away to Sassuolo after Sergio Floccari cancelled out Borja Valero's opener.

Fiorentina are third in the table on 29 points, one behind second-placed Inter.
