Ahead of the presidential and national assembly elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed that the percentage of those who picked Permanent Voter Cards is 81.98.
By this update, 12.4 million eligible voters have not collected their PVCS, as such out of 68 million eligible voters, 56.4m eligible voters have collected their PVCs.
This comes as yesterday marked the end of the deadline for the distribution of PVCs ahead of the polls.
According to the table of PVC distribution made available to newsmen by the chief press secretary to INEC chairman, Kayode Idowu, dated March 21, while 11 states crossed the 90 percent threshold collection rate, 11 states also were in the 80 percent zone.
However nine states were in the 70 percent area, while six states were in the 60 percent zone.
The states in the 90 percent zone include: Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Gombe, Imo, Kaduna, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Taraba, Zamfara states.
Those in the 80 percent zone are: Abia, Adamawa, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross-River, Delta, Enugu, Kano, Nasarawa, Niger and Rivers states.
Benue, Borno, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Osun, Plateau and Yobe are in the 70 percent zone, while Edo, FCT, Kogi, Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States trail in the 60 percent mark. (Leadership)
