Police Detonate Bomb Near Imo INEC Office

According to a report on LeadershipThe Imo State Police Command has detonated two bombs planted under a palm tree 10 metres from the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) office.

According to an eye witness account, a loud noise was heard from where the bombs were planted in front of the Owerri Capital Development Agency (OCDA) When LEADERSHIP visited the scene at about 11am, there was a very heavy presence of police and its bomb squad department which cordoned off the entire area along Owerri-Port Harcourt road.
