Former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue, has joined Sunderland who are currently battling to survice relegation until the end of the current campaign. Eboue trained with the team in recent weeks. Eboue left the Premier League in 2011 for Galatasaray. He was let go by the Turkish giants last summer and has been without a club ever since.
The Ivorian boasts almost 80 international caps and represented his country at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups. He joined Arsenal back in 2005 and was part of the team that reached the Champions League final a year later.
Eboue also reached two League Cup finals with the Gunners - losing them both - but claimed trophies in Turkey as he helped Gala to three league titles and five cup triumphs.
He will fight for his Sunderland place at right-back alongside DeAndre Yedlin and Billy Jones and could face Arsenal in the Premier League next month.
