Gunmen Kill 3 Women In Taraba

A pregnant woman and two others were reportedly killed in the early hours of yesterday when unknown gunmen attacked Igoh village in Donga local government area of Taraba State.

Two of the women from the same husband were killed while working on their farms at the outskirt of Igoh village, while the other was gunned down while attempting to flee on sighting the attackers.

Some of the residents of the community, who spoke to our correspondent, said the attack has caused mass exodus of people from the area.

They noted that even another woman was also discovered in a pool of her blood with her left hand cut off.

The killing is making the second time in less than a month that the village is coming under attack.

According to report, the attackers have killed over 12 people in their first attack over three weeks ago.

When contacted, Taraba State Police public relations officer, ASP Joseph, who confirmed the attack, said only two women from the same husband were killed, while another woman was left with matches wounds.
