The 19-year old central defender who is on two years loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach has really impressed so far this season. The Blues are currently assessing their centre back options with Kurt Zouma out for six months while John Terry’s contract will expire. And while there’s been talk of giving Terry an extension, the Daily Telegraph says Chelsea are looking into bringing back Christensen instead.
The 19-year-old is coming to the end of the first year of his two-year loan spell in Germany where he’s impressed.
Chelsea don’t have a recall option but could pay compensation to cancel the loan early and install the Dane in their first-team this summer.
Christensen had stressed recently he would only return to Stamford Bridge if he was given regular game time.
