THEFT: Police Arrest Thieves Attempting To Steal Church Equipment

The police detectives in Warri Metropolis, Delta State, have arrested some men suspected to be thieves in their attempt to steal musical equipment of a new generation church, (Fresh Oil Evangelical Ministry) around Enamejuwa Street in the area.

DSP Celestina Kalu, Police Public Relations Officer in the state, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects, disclosed that their efforts was foiled by brave men of the vigilante in the area adding that upon interrogation, they confessed to the crime.

A resident of the street who did not want his name in print, said that thieves broke into one of the glass windows of the church, and carted away the said items which they carefully arranged at the premises of the church with a view to carrying before they were confronted by the vigilante group who overpowered them and in the process, they abandoned their loot.

DSP Kalu said that the suspects currently helping the police were arrested on Tuesday evening on a tip- off and would be charged to court on completion of the investigation.
