BREAKING- France on the edge after fresh attack – Explosion in Lyon, fresh shooting in Paris

In two different instances at two different places in France, there are reports of a woman cop and a city employee being injured in an incident of shooting in southern Paris, and an explosion at a restaurant in Lyon (France), just a day after a terror attack on a magazine’s office in Paris which killed 12 people.


Southern Paris shooting – The police sources have confirmed that one woman officer and a city employee have been injured after shots were fired at French policemen at Montrougue near Paris today. Gunman, wearing bullet-proof vest, opened fire with automatic rifle at the policemen.

Lyon restaurant explosion – There was an explosion at a restaurant near a mosque in Lyon. There are no reports of injuries yet.

However, as of now there is no clarity if the shooting and explosion are linked to yesterday’s attack.

The youngest of the attackers of yesterday’s attack surrendered earlier today at a police station, while a massive hunt is on for the other two accused, who are brothers.
