Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Kogi State were yesterday thrown into mourning following the sudden death of Thisday correspondent in the state, Mr Timothy Ajiboye.
Ajiboye who was until his death with his colleagues at NUJ secretariat watching a football match on the TV died on Sunday around 8:30pm with no trace of any particular illness.
The late journalist had worked in various national dailies before joining Thisday early this year, as state correspondent.
He was one time secretary of the Correspondents’ Chapel in Kogi State.
The chairman of Correspondents’ Chapel in the state, Mallam Ademu Idakwo described his death as shocking and unbelievable.
He said the late journalist was a peace loving man who had been living in peace with the entire members of the chapel.
Idakwo said God who called him at this prime age will provide succour for his family.
