African Artists Unite To Fight Ebola

A group of artists from several countries in Africa have united to remake the classic and evergreen ‘We are the world’ music to fight against Ebola.
This collaboration is said to be the biggest on the continent and will feature grade A performers such as – Banky W, Mafikizolo, Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Dr. Sid, Don Jazzy, Praiz, Di’Ja, Reekado Banks, Iceberg Slim, D’Prince, Diamond, Iyanya, Mosa, Sean Tizzle and several others.



The number of Ebola cases in Africa has risen to 16,000 with death toll of about 7000 According to World Health Organisation (WHO).

WHO reports that the virus is on the rise in Liberia while situation in Guinea and Sierra Leone is yet to get better.

Nigeria had been affected by the virus but managed to fight it off due to the determination of the populace and the federal government.

The original, made by Quincy Jones, was written by Micheal Jackson and Lionel Richie in 1985.
